In September 2018, Chimplinks Social WiFi was installed across 4 TP Link access points at the Jungle Pool Club in Umalas, Bali. Upon installation the pool clubs previously dormant WiFi network instantly transformed into a marketing hotspot. Allowing guests “one-click” connection to the internet and giving the pool club owners the ability to promote their events.
Jungle’s parties are often filled to capacity and having to turn people away at the door. Based on this, the owners decided to step their game up and start hosting festivals in larger locations. Late in 2018 the owners partnered with the legendary BPM festival organisers from Portugal and began planning the first BPM festival in Bali, with world famous Marco Carola as the headline DJ.
The organisers wanted a way to ensure that the marketing and promotions for their new festival in Bali was received by its regular clientele at Jungle. Using the Promotion image settings in the Chimplinks dashboard, Jungle was able to set a series of graphics building excitement and hype around the festival.
After seeing the promotion during the login process, Jungle used the Chimplinks URL redirection feature to drive its social WiFi guests to the ticketing website where its customers could purchase tickets directly and secure their place at the, soon to be sold out, festival.
From Google analytics, the BPM festival organisers could see that 17% of its total traffic to their website was a direct result of logins through Chimplinks WiFi.
“The end user is the most valuable statistic you can get. It’s not a vanity stat – they’ve actually tried and tested your products! The first problem we had was collecting their information to retarget them.
“Since they were at one of our sister venues, we already knew that these people were interested in partying and having fun, and that it would be much easier to introduce them to our other products. Our second problem was that we didn’t have the ability to effectively retarget them with events from our other venues. Chimplinks solved both problems for us, and the results speak for themselves.” – Marketing Director, Jungle
